초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of the exercise frequency according to use of the wrist wearable device in adult dieters. Three adult women dieters participated in this case study. The participants were asked to perform a walking exercise using the wrist wearable device for 8 weeks. The exercise frequency was evaluated by the investigator before and after the study. The exercise frequency was measured by dividing it into number and time. The measured data on the wearable device was checked for weight, activity tracking, and lasting hours of deep sleep. Investigators performed only subject evaluation and did not attempt to contact them except during study. After the experiment, investigator examined the satisfaction of use of the wrist wearable device. Three participants showed an increase in the exercise number and the time and the activity tracking, and weight tended to decrease. Deep sleep quality has also increased and the overall satisfaction with the use of the wrist wearable devices has been achieved. Based on the analysis of three participants, it can be assumed that the use of the wrist wearable devices can positively affect the exercise frequency of adult dieters. A higher level of experimental design is needed in the future.

Abstract

After the experiment, investigator examined the satisfaction of use of the wrist wearable device. Three participants showed an increase in the exercise number and the time and the activity tracking, and weight tended to decrease. Deep sleep quality has also increased and the overall satisfaction with the use of the wrist wearable devices has been achieved. Based on the analysis of three participants, it can be assumed that the use of the wrist wearable devices can positively affect the exercise frequency of adult dieters. A higher level of experimental design is needed in the future.
