청소년이 경험하는 우울이 가출경험에 미치는 영향: 부모-자녀 관계의 조절효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 청소년의 우울이 이들의 가출에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 부모-자녀 관계가 우울과 가출 간의 관계에서 조절효과를 나타내는지 검증하였다. 이를 위해 2021년 여성가족부에서 실시한 위기청소년 이용기관 이용자 실태조사로부터 쉼터 및 자립지원기관 이용 청소년 510명의 데이터를 추출한 후, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 우울은 가출빈도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 쉼터 및 자립지원기관 이용 청소년이 경험하는 우울은 이들의 가출 위험성을 증가시킨다고 해석해 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 부모-자녀 관계는 우울과 가출 간의 관계에 대해 조절효과를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 청소년의 심리적 건강을 증진하고 가출행동을 사전에 예방할 수 있는 가정과 지역사회 연계 방안들을 구체적으로 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the extent of depression on the runaway of youths, and to determine whether parent-child relations played a moderating role in the link between depression and runaway experience. To achieve these goals, the researchers conducted a comprehensive analysis of the data collected from Survey on Users of Institutions for At-risk Youth, which was carried out by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2021. Then, hierarchical regression analysis of 510 participants was used in the final statistical examination. The major findings of the study revealed as follows. First, it was established that depression had a substantial influence on the likelihood of youths running away. This suggests that the presence of depressive symptoms can contribute to an increased risk of runaway among this population. Second, the study demonstrated that the quality of parent-child relations acted as a moderating factor in the association between depression and runaway. Based on these outcomes, the researchers discussed specific ways to enhance the psychological health of high-risk runaway youths, and to prevent their runaway behavior in advance through collaboration between families and communities.
