Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the healing effect of trauma experiencer who have physical and psychological difficulties by conducting Trauma - Sensitive Yoga for Complex PTSD experiencer. In Korea, where trauma is becoming more popular, there is a widespread awareness that healing support projects should be combined to achieve trauma healing. Therefore, it is necessary to provide support to help self-healing and succeed in healing. In this respect, it is necessary to clarify the usefulness of Trauma - Sensitive Yoga. The experimental group and the control group were 17 adults over 20 years old who had experience of complex trauma, and the experimental group had a yoga the program combined with yoga asana , breathing and relaxation for 1 hour and 30 minutes a week, totaling 8 sessions. The research tools used in this study were Complex Posttraumatic Stress Symptoms Scale, Korean Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale(K-DERS), and Korean Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness(K-MAIA). The results of the analysis showed that the combined trauma and emotional dysregulation of the experienced people who participated in the Trauma-Sensitive Yoga program significantly decreased and internal sensed awareness was improved. This study is meaningful in that it is the first empirical study on the healing effect of trauma healing yoga program on the complex trauma experienced person and that the Trauma - Sensitive Yoga program composed of yoga shape, breathing and relaxation has a positive effect on the healing of the complex trauma experienced person. Therefore, if a policy approach is made to combine Trauma - Sensitive Yoga with general programs in trauma healing sites, the healing support project of complex trauma experience will be able to achieve considerable effectiveness.
