유아 흡연예방교육 및 가정연계에 대한 부모의 인식

본 연구는 유아 흡연예방프로그램 및 가정연계에 대한 부모들의 인식을 알아보는데 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 「누리과정과 연계한 유아 흡연예방교육 프로그램」(보건복지부, 국가금연지원센터, 2015) 시범운영에 참여했던 유아의 부모 10명을 대상으로 면담(집단 및 개별)을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 부모들은 유아 흡연예방교육의 내용 및 방법에 대해 이해하고 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 부모들은 유아 흡연예방교육을 유아기에 실시해야 하는 필요성 및 시기 적절성을 인식하고, 유아 흡연예방교육을 실시할 때 유념해야 할 점들에 대해서도 의견을 제시하였다. 둘째, 부모들은 가정연계 유아 흡연예방교육의 효과성을 인식하고 있었다. 또한 부모들은 자녀와 함께 참여할 수 있고, 실생활에 적용 가능한 다양한 형태의 가정연계 유아 흡연예방교육이 실시되길 희망하였다. 이러한 결과들은 유아 및 부모, 더 나아가 건강한 사회를 위해 가정과 연계한 유아 흡연예방교육이 필요함을 시사한다.
Abstract
This study examined parents’ perceptions on a smoking prevention program for young children and its home-school collaboration. 10 parents of the children who had participated in 「A smoking prevention program for early childhood linked to the Five-year-old Nuri Curriculum」(Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea Health Promotion Foundation, 2015) were interviewed collectively and individually. The results of the study were as follows. First, the parents were aware of the contents and methods of the smoking prevention program. Based on the understanding, they realized the importance of their children’s participation in the program and suggested things that should be taken into consideration when implementing the program. Second, the parents perceived the effectiveness of the home-school collaboration in the program and were eager to take part in the program with their children. This study revealed that the smoking prevention program with home-school collaboration can contribute to preventing the children, their parents and even their communities from smoking.
