직장상사와의 관계에 어려움을 겪고 있는 기혼남성의 우울증 진행과정에 대한 질적 연구

초록

본 연구는 직장상사와의 관계에 어려움을 경험하고 있는 기혼남성(내담자)의 우울증에 영향을 미친 요인과 진행과정을 탐색하였다. 본 연구는 직장생활 중 적응장애와 우울증 진단을 받고 정신과 치료를 받아오던 기혼 남성의 가족치료 사례를 질적사례연구 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 내담자의 원가족 경험, 핵가족 경험, 그리고 직장생활 경험이 내담자의 우울증에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 내담자의 우울증 진행과정은 <원가족 경험에 기인된 불안의 잠재단계>, <핵가족 경험에 기인된 불안의 확대단계>, <직장생활 경험에 기인된 우울증 발현단계>의 과정을 거치는 것으로 나타났다. 내담자의 우울증은 다양하고 복합적인 사회환경에서의 대인관계 특성에 기인되며 전생애주기에 따른 점진적인 단계를 거쳐 발현되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 기혼남성의 우울증 치료를 위한 가족치료 전략을 제공하였다.

Abstract

This study explored the factors and process of depression of a married man(client) who is experiencing a hardship in relationship with boss. The researcher employed qualitative case study method to analyze a family therapy case on a client who was diagnosed as depression and adjustment disorder in work from a psychiatrist. The result of this study revealed that client's experiences in family-of-origin, nuclear family, and job have influenced the depression. Meanwhile, the client's depression went through the process of <potential stage of anxiety from the experience in family-of-origin>, <expansion stage of anxiety in the nuclear family>, and <revelation stage of depression in the job>. The client's depression was caused by the characteristics of interpersonal relationship in the diverse and complex social environment, and occurred based on the gradual stage of life cycle. Based on the result, this study offers a family therapy strategy to treat a married man's depression.
