일부 육군사병의 성지식 수준과 성교육 욕구에 관한 조사연구

이 연구의 목적은 청소년후기에 해당하는 육군사병(이하 군인) 대상 성교육 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 군인의 성지식 수준을 하위영역별로 파악하고, 군인의 사회·인구학적 특성과 성관련 경험 특성별 성지식 수준의 차이를 측정하고, 이들이 원하는 성교육의 내용과 방법을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 군인의 성지식은 총점 63.0점(100점 기준)으로 성심리 83.2점, 피임낙태 71.9점, 생식생리 67.5점, 성병·에이즈 58.2점, 임신 55.1점, 성폭력 31.9점으로 나타났으며, 군인의 출신고유형·공학여부·종교·용돈·성교육이수경험·음란대중매체접촉·성교경험에 따라 성지식 수준의 차이를 보였다. 이에 근거한 실천적 함의가 논의되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic materials for developing sex education program for Korean soldiers who are in the late adolescent period. This study examined their sex knowledge in 6 sub-scales and need for sex education, and analysed the variance among the independent variables. The data were collected from 145 soldiers on the 30th of June, 2006, using questionnaires developed by the authors. The main results are as follows: The average score in sex knowledge was 63.0 of a maximum score of 100. In 6 sex knowledge sub-scales, the psychology of sexuality was 83.2, the contraception and abortion was 71.9, the anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system was 67.5, the sexually transmitted disease and AIDS was 58.2, the pregnancy was 55.1, the sex violence was 31.9. Among the independent variables, academic highschool, boy's school, religion, economic condition, sex education experience, mass media, and coitus made the soldiers have higher scores in sex knowledge than the other soldiers. Based on the research results, implications for the future practice are discussed.
