본 연구의 목적은 알코올 사용장애 가족의 공동의존 경험을 심도 있게 탐색함으로써 대상자가족에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 알코올 사용장애 가족의 회복촉진을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 현재 알코올 사용장애 대상자와 함께 거주하는 가족구성원 6명을대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였으며 그 내용을 Creswell(2013)의 사례분석방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 본 연구에서는 알코올 사용장애 가족의 공동의존 경험과 관련한 6개의 주제와 12개의 하위주제, 29개의 의미단위를 도출하였다. 도출된 6개의 주제는 ‘고통의 시간’, ‘역기능적인 가족관계’, ‘인내와 노력’, ‘호전되는 가족관계’, ‘건강한 관계로 나아감’, ‘함께하는 시간의 소중함’이었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 알코올 사용장애 가족의 공동의존을 감소시키고 재발방지를 위한 실천적, 정책적 함의를 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to deeply explore the experience of co-dependence in families with alcohol use disorder, and to provide basic data for facilitating recovery through deep understanding of families of people with alcohol use disorder. To achieve this purpose, this study conducted in-depth interviews with six family members who currently reside with individuals with alcohol use disorders, and analyzed qualitative data using a case analysis method of Creswell (2013). Study results on co-dependence experience of families of people with alcohol use disorders were classified with 6 themes, 12 sub-themes, and 29 meaningful statements. The six themes were ‘time of suffering’, ‘dysfunctional family relations’, ‘patience and effort’, ‘improving family relationship’, ‘progressing to healthy relationship’, and ‘preciousness of the time family members spend together’. Based on the results of this study, practical and policy implications for reducing co-dependence of families of people with alcohol use disorders and preventing relapse were discussed.
