Abstract

The warm heart, laughter, and surprise of the unfamiliar culture from various people whom the writer met and experienced on the journey through 『Manchuria and Korea, Here and There』 make him have a kind of spiritual cycle. At least, through 『Manchuria and Korea, Here and There』writing, the author could have escaped the gloomy contemplation of the close relationship with death. In fact, it reveals the strong regret and frustration of the journey to Manchuria, which had to be put off due to its own health condition, rather than positively accepting death itself. Next, 『Omohi dasu koto nado』 may be nothing more than an ordinary personal bedside diary, but the Hero of the work as the central person, ‘I’, must be identified with the artist Soseki, the writer expresses in detail that the true happiness of the life he feels after suffering from illness and the appreciation of the people around him are the most human-like mind in the end. Finally, even though pain is more painful than death, it should be accepted as part of nature and made worthy of human determination and resolution in the 『Garasu do no uti』. Through these three works, the artist believes that the physical body is the same nature as nature, and physical pain leads to the gaze of death. Therefore, the writer illustrates the importance of the posture that reflects ourselves fundamentally.
