‘이공계 글쓰기 예문 예제집’을 활용한 팀티칭 수업과 그 실제

이 논문은 ‘이공계 글쓰기를 위한 예문⋅예제집’이 팀티칭 수업을 통한 글쓰기 강좌에서 실제로 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지 그 방안을 살피는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 동국대학교 이공계 학부생의 ‘기술보고서 작성 및 발표’ 강좌에 이 예문⋅예제집을 적용하여 활용성 여부를 검증하는 작업을 진행하였고, 그 결과물로 이 논문이 완성되었다. 이 연구 성과를 바탕으로 효과적인 이공계 글쓰기 교수 방법의 새로운 모형이 개발될 것을 기대하며 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 우선 이공계 학생들 대부분이 정확한 언어 사용 및 의사소통에 많은 어려움을 느끼고 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 현재 공학교육인증제와 관련한 ‘기술보고서 작성’과 같은 유형의 글쓰기 교재들은 이런 인문학적 능력을 향상시키는데 일정한 한계를 갖고 있으며 더욱이 글쓰기 기초와 같은 기초 학습을 이공계 교수자들이 이를 담당한다는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 연구 결과 이공계만의 글쓰기 기초 및 이론 교재가 부족하다는 인식과 글쓰기와 관련한 기초 수업 내용이 이공계 교재만으로 해결될 수 없다는 인식이 사실로 증명되었다. 또한 인문학적인 글쓰기 과목을 수강하지 않는 이공계 학생을 위한 새롭게 만들어진 ‘이공계 글쓰기를 위한 예문⋅예제집’이 실제 교육 현장에서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore how 'sample sentence & practice problems for writing of natural sciences and engineering' is used practically in the writing lecture through team teaching class. For this purpose, sample sentence & practice problems for writing of natural sciences and engineering was applied in the lecture of 'writing & presentation of technical report', and the work of examining its usability was made. On the basis of this study, the new model of the teaching method of effective writing of natural sciences and engineering is expected to be developed. In the result of the study, it proved that basics & theory texts just for writing of natural sciences and engineering are insufficient, and basic class contents related with writing are not enough just with texts of natural sciences and engineering. And, it was confirmed that 'sample sentence & practice problems for writing of natural sciences and engineering' is usable very effectively, which has been renewed in the real educational situations for the undergraduates of natural sciences and engineering who have not taken the course of writing of humanities.
