The purpose of this study was to examine the role of national culture in moderating the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and its correlates: job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The impact of culture was investigated based on 83 independent samples (N= 23,637) from 25 countries by meta-analyzing. Three Hofstede’s cultural dimensions were used to compare individualism-collectivism, power distance, and masculinity-femininity, and the cultural effect of Confucianism was further considered. The results indicated that the relationships of OCB with its correlates were stronger in collectivistic, high power distance and feminine cultures than individualistic, low power distance, and masculine cultures. But the effect of Confucianism was not found. The results suggested that OCB is embedded within the cultural aspects and provided practical implications.

But the effect of Confucianism was not found. The results suggested that OCB is embedded within the cultural aspects and provided practical implications.
