경판 <소대성전>의 대중화 양상과 그 향유 의식

본 논문은 경판 <소대성전>의 대중화 양상과 이에 내포된 독자층의 향유 의식을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. <소대성전>의 경판본은 36·30·24·23·21·17·16장본이 현전하고 있는데 30장본과 24장본은 나머지 5종과 변별되는 측면이 있다. 따라서 경판 <소대성전>은 36장본을 저본으로 23·21장본으로 축약의 과정을 거쳤으며 23·21장본을 대상으로 각각 17장본과 16장본이 출간되면서 대중성을 획득했다. 경판 <소대성전>이 대중성을 획득하는 과정에서 군담이 대폭 축약되면서 소대성의 영웅적인 면모는 축소되고 오히려 걸인으로서의 면모가 부각되었으며 이채봉과 소대성의 애정 갈등은 완화되었다. 이러한 경판 <소대성전>의 대중화 양상에는 조선후기 유기아와 행걸아의 수난에 대한 관심과 이들의 수난이 낭만적으로 극복되기를 바라는 독자층의 염원이 반영되어 있으며 조선 후기 양반 가문의 혼인 풍속에 대한 비판 의식이 약화된 측면을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This paper is a study on the popularise aspects and enjoying consciousness in <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed. <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed are existed as 36·24·23·21·17·16 sheets version. But <So-Dae-Seong- Jeon> of Seoul block printed 24 sheets version is different from the others. So <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed 36 sheets version is contracted to 23·21 sheets version. And 21 sheets version is separated into 17, 16 sheets version. Therefore <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed are contracted to 36, 23·21, 17, 16 sheets version gradationally. <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed are popularized by these course of contraction. The popularise aspects in <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed are as follows. First So-Dae-Seong's heroic aspect is declined and beggar's aspect is be embossed. This is the result contraction and deletion of war-story. The war-story is gradationally eliminated in <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed that are contracted to 36, 23·21, 17, 16 sheets version. Second So-Dae-Seong and Yi-Chae- Bong's affection conflict has moderated. Because scene of Yi-Chae-Bong's affection expression about So-Dae-Seong is gradationally eliminated in <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed that are contracted to 23·21, 17, 16 sheets version. Therefore the popularise aspects in <So-Dae-Seong-Jeon> of Seoul block printed involve that the readers desire neglected child as well as beggar child's sufferings and romantic overcome. And consciousness of criticism is weaken about marriage tradition of the aristocratic class family in the late Jo-Seon dynasty.
