斎藤緑雨の作品を通して、中国俗語使用の実態を把握してみた。研究方法は、筆者が今まで扱った諸作家の用いた主要中国俗語を見る形にした。近代における中国俗語を好む作家は、指示･疑問代名詞と人称･呼称の語を数多く用いられていて、種類も多様である。斎藤の場合も、こういう単語を用いてはいる。また、量的に少く種類もそれほど多いとはいえないが、話題転換語･構造助詞「〜地」、動詞重ね型、「一五一十」、「本当」の意味を表わす「眞正」などに対しても具体的に考察してみた。その結果、斎藤の作品活動の期間も短く、作品も少く、相対的に使用量も少かったが、多様性が見られた。さらに、主たる語以外にも実に多様な俗語が用いられていた。こういうことで、斎藤は中国俗語にかなり関心を持っていたことがわかった。
Abstract
This time, I tried to grasp the reality of the use of Chinese slang through works by Saito Ryokuu. The research method is to take up and examine the main Chinese slang words that the authors have dealt with so far and used above. Modern writers use directives and interrogative pronouns, personal names and names the most, and there are many kinds. In Saito’s case, these words are also used. In addition, although the amount is small and the variety is not so large, I have also examined the topic-changer and structural particle “〜地”, verb superlatives, “一五一十”, and “真正”, which expresses the meaning of “true”. As a result, Saito’s work period was short, so his work was small, and although he did not have enough examples to discuss in chapters, he was able to see diversity. In addition to the main words, a wide variety of slang words were used. From this, it was discovered that Saito had a great interest in Chinese slang.
