Abstract

Sungkyunkwan, the best higher education institution of the Joseon Dynasty, had the title of Sungkyunkwan Jisa and Dongjisa, who were difficult to see as actual administrative affairs. What did you do when and why did you create such positions and what did you do specifically with Sungkyunkwan? Is it merely an honorary profession? Or, what a great role it played, if not the Dasasung? I have begun to study with this question. As a result of the study, Sungkyunkwan Jisa and Dongjisa were started in the early Joseon period and it was aimed to raise the status of Sungkyunkwan. So I had to have morality and academy. Because Sungkyunkwan is the hall of education and scholarship, it became common practice that Hongmoongwan and the Yemoomgwan became the offices of Sungkyunkwan, and it became the highest honor. Obviously, he was political, but he was honorary, not unemployed. Sungkyunkwan Jisa and Dongjisa had a higher symbolic image effect than Sungkyunkwan's highest administrative unemployment. However, it did not do nothing by hanging only the name of Sungkyunkwan Jisa and Dongjisa. Sometimes they had to teach, handle things related to Sungkyunkwan and work hard to revive schools. So, they were praised for competence and sometimes asked to stay. Conversely, if you are incompetent or nervous about Sungkyunkwan, you are replaced or criticized.
