우리나라 국립공원 생태관광 현황 및 탐방객 인식에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 우리나라 국립공원의 생태관광 현황 및 탐방객 인식 분석을 통해 생태관광의 정책 및 활성화방안 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 수행되었다. 탐방객 인식 분석을 위한 현지조사는 총 420명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석결과 현재 국립공원관리공단에서 운영하고 있는 생태관광 프로그램은 97개로 나타났다. 생태관광에 대한정보는 주로 신문 및 TV(42.4%)와 주변 지인의 추천(35.5%)을 통해 획득한 탐방객의 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 대부분의 탐방객은 생태관광이 자연환경을 보전하는데 기여하고 있으며, 이를 정책적으로 확대할 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 생태관광에 참여한 탐방객의 만족도(4.39점)와 재참여 의사(85.5%)는 매우 높게 나타났다. 그러나 생태관광이 더욱 활성화되기 위해서는 참여기회 확대(42.1%), 프로그램(23.5%) 및 숙박시설(9.9%) 개선 등이필요한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to suggest a basic information to establish eco-tourism policy and vitalization by analyzing present condition and visitors’ perception of eco-tourism of Korea National Parks. A total of 420respondents completed a survey conducted at national parks. The results shows that Korea National Park Service manages 97 eco-tourism programs. Visitors mainly get information of eco-tourism by newspaper/TV(42.4%) and recommendation of acquaintance(35.5%). Most of the visitors responded that eco-tourism contributes to conserve the natural environment and needs to expand its role as conservation policy. In addition, visitor’s satisfaction(4.39 point)and intention of rejoining the eco-tourism(85.5%) was highly estimated. However, in order for eco-tourism to vitalize,there needs to expand opportunity of participation(42.1%) and improve program(25.3%) and accommodation(9.9%).
