보육교사가 지각하는 유아 친환경교육에 대한 인식 분석

본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 친환경의식과 교육의 필요성을 조사하여 추후 보육교사 교육과정에 환경교육의 필요성을 제안하는 것이다. 보육교사는 생애초기 영유아의 인지적 발달과 사회적 발달을 촉진하는데 중요한역할을 하기 때문에 이들의 친환경의식과 태도는 매우 중요하다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 서울과 충청지역에근무하는 보육교사 128명을 대상으로 유아 친환경교육에 대한 보육교사의 인식을 알아보고자 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 PASW 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계와 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대부분의 보육교사들은 유아 친환경교육에 대한 많은 관심과 체계적인 환경교육이 필요하다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 유아 친환경교육의 내용과 교육방법에 한계가 있다고 느끼고 있었다. 셋째, 보육교사를 대상으로체계적인 친환경교육이 이루어지지 않고 있으며 따라서 보수교육에 친환경교육의 포함을 적극 권유하였다. 어린이집에서 친환경교육이 체계적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 무엇보다도 다양한 보육교사 교육과정에 환경교육을 포함하는 것이 시급하다고 판단된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to suggest the necessity of eco-friendly education in the curriculum of child care teachers by investigating the need for environmental awareness and education of child care teachers. Child care teachers’ environmental awareness and attitude are very important because they play an important role in promoting the cognitive development and social development of early infants. In order to achieve the research purpose, 128 child care teachers working in Seoul and Chungcheong area were surveyed about ecofriendly education. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency using the PASW 23.0 program. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, most of the child care teachers recognizes that there is a need for systematic education and a concern for eco-friendly education for infants. Second, teachers felt that there was a limit to the contents and education methods of eco-friendly education. Third, there is currently no systematic eco-friendly education for child care teachers. Respondents therefore strongly encouraged inclusion of eco-education in the process of re-education. In order for eco-education to be systematically implemented at day care centers, it is urgent to include environmental education in various child care teacher education courses.
