Abstract

The land category as a factor of the land does a very important role when classifying or indicating the type of land, according to the main purpose of the land use. Today with various use of land followed by development of business and society, the land category which shows land phenomena is becoming more and more important. Thanks to the rapid urbanization, industrialization and informationization we can say that quantitative development of land is quite notable, however, the qualitative aspects are still staying at the same level due to consistent simple representations as it was in the early days. So this study analyzed the drawbacks of current land category system to suggest measures in subdividing land category referring to some domestic researching trend and bibliographies, the present situation of our land category dividing system and studies on some example areas. By these analyses, there came some subdividing plans on land category to improve current system in realistic and practical way. Firstly, by large land category, we intended to make it a criteria, and under the establishment of former land category system this study suggests current land categories and segregates them into subcategories. For sub-categorized items to be a valuable land category information, it needs newly categorized items suggested for improvement, and realistic managing techniques for land situation to be adopted and carried out together.
