기독교 경제윤리의 관점에서 본 시장경제의 근본문제들

본 논문에서 필자는 예수 그리스도를 주로 고백하는 사람들의 모임인 교회의 관점에서 기독교 경제윤리의 과제와 그 규범적 근거를 제시하고, 역사적 시장경 제의 근본문제들을 분석하고, 그 문제들을 해결하면서 시장경제를 규율하고 새롭 게 형성하는 방안을 강령적으로 제시하고자 한다. 그리스도 사건에서 조명되는 창조와 종말의 지평에서 기독교 경제윤리가 삶의 방편인 경제를 규율하고 형성하 기 위해 구상하는 규범적 장치는 생태학적 규율의 원칙, 참여의 원칙, 정의의 원칙, 인간 존엄성 보장의 원칙이다. 이 원칙들 아래서 기독교 경제윤리는 다섯 가지를 강조한다. 1. 기독교 경제윤리는 경제적 합리성을 매개하는 가격 장치가 사회적이고 생태학적인 관점에서 전면적으로 보완되어야 한다는 것을 지적하여 야 한다. 2. 기독교 경제윤리는 생태계의 안정성과 건강성을 보장하는 수준에서 역사적 시장경제의 경제과정과 그 기본 얼개들을 규율하고 새롭게 형성하는 데 필요한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 3. 기독교 경제윤리가 강조하는 참여는 사람들 이 공동으로 책임을 질 일을 함께 하기 위해 대등한 주체로서 서로 소통하고 함께 결정하는 삶의 방식이다. 4. 기독교 경제윤리는 참여의 원칙에 따라 기업 차원의 경제 민주주의를 강조하는 데서 더 나아가 산업분야와 국민경제와 세계경제를 민주주의적으로 규율할 것을 요구한다. 5. 기독교 경제윤리는 모든 사람들에게 삶의 기회를 보장할 것을 옹호하며, 이를 위해 노동시간 단축을 통한 일자리의 분배와 무조건적 기본소득의 제도화를 제안한다.
Abstract
This research suggests four normative principles of Christian economic ethics, namely, ecological regulation, participation, justice and human dignity. With these four principles in hand I would emphasize five points for reshaping the market economy. 1. Christian economic ethics acknowledge that the price mechanism that mediates economic rationality must be fully complemented from a social and ecological point of view. 2. Christian economic ethics require that the stability and healthiness of the ecosystem should be guaranteed in order to propose some measures which are necessary to regulate and reshape the economic process of the historical market economy and its basic frameworks. 3. Christian economic ethics propose that capital and labor be jointly responsible for the survival and development of enterprises as social partners through joint decision-making. 4. Christian economic ethics require furthermore that industry, the national economy and the global economy should be regulated in democratic ways. 5. Christian economic ethics advocate guaranteeing the opportunity of life for all, and suggest that jobs should be distributed through reduction of labor hours and the unconditional basic income should be institutionalized.
