본 논문은 그리스도인이 주목해야 할 경제 활동의 원칙과 투자의 방향을 제시 하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이웃 사랑의 계명은 자기 사랑과 이웃 사랑의 종합적 추구를 요구하고 있다. 여기서 이웃은 인간과 환경을 포함한다. 이웃 사랑은 그리스도인의 경제 활동을 통해 구현되어야 한다. 웨슬리의 신학에 토대를 두고 있는 윤리적 투자는 인간과 환경의 이익을 증진하는 경제 활동이다. 최근 부각되고 있는 경영 가치인 ESG는 윤리적 투자의 노선을 제시해 주는 역할을 한다. 이에 따라 그리스도인은 환경 보호, 사회적 공헌, 민주적 구조의 실현을 중시하지 않는 기업에 대한 투자를 지양하고, 그 구현을 위해 노력하는 기업에 투자해야 한다. 그리스도인의 윤리적 투자는 인간과 환경의 보호에 기여 하게 될 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to clarify the principle of Christian’s economic activity and the direction of its investments. The commandment of love of neighbor demands a comprehensive pursuit of self-love and neighbor-love. The neighbor is not only the human being, but also the environment. Neighbor-love must be realized in the Christian’s economic activity. Ethical investment, based on John Wesley’s theology, promotes the interests of people and the environment. ESG is a guideline for ethical investment. Christians should therefore avoid investing in companies that do not have an interest in protecting the environment, contributing to society, and implementing democratic structures, and should invest in companies that strive to achieve these goals. Ethical investment by Christians helps to protect people and the environment.
