초록
Transport costs in Cote d’Ivoire are far higher than in other neighboring countries. Inefficiencies in transport is a major obstacle to the exports of agricultural products. Although there are many transportation problems, in-depth research has not yet been conducted to identify problems that need to be solved to improve the logistics system. The objective of the study is to analyze and weigh the core factors that lead to the development of the logistics system in Cote d’Ivoire. To achieve the objective of this study, an Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) methodology is conducted to identify the relationships among specific items that define a problem or an issue and give decision-makers a realistic picture of their situation. As a result of conducting the MICMAC analysis, the first thing to improve was international cooperation and invitation of FDI (or foreign capital), which was the highest at LEVEL 7. Next, financial support was important. Logistics security was the lowest priority at LEVEL 1. Therefore, it can be seen that international cooperation and invitation of FDI (or foreign capital) should be considered first for the development of the transportation infrastructure in Cote d’Ivoire.
