본 연구는 의사소통이 소원한 가족에게 가족미술치료를 실시하여 가족구성원간의 의사소통 및 상호관계 개선에 미치는 효과를 알아보려고 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 3명의 가족구성원으로 가족생활에 필요한 말 외에는 대화가 없는 가정이다. 연구도구로는 의사소통 유형 검사로 Satir의 이론을 바탕으로 송성자(1985)와 이상순(1998)이 제작한 의사소통 유형 척도를 참고하여 임영아(2010)가 재구성한 것을 사용하였고, 가족구성원간의 상호관계 및 가족의 역동성을 알아보기 위하여 동적가족화를 사용하여, 각각 사전․사후․추후검사를 비교분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족미술치료가 가족구성원간의 의사소통 개선에 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 가족미술치료가 가족구성원간의 상호관계 개선에 효과가 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과로 미루어보아 가족미술치료가 가족구성원간의 의사소통 및 상호관계 개선에 효과적이라는 것을 입증 하였다. 이와 같은 가족미술치료의 효과성에도 불구하고 다양한 연구가 나오지 않고 있는 실정이다. 앞으로 지속적인 연구가 필요하다고 본다.
Abstract
This study investigated the effects of family art therapy on improving the sparse intra-family communication and interactions of a family. Participants for this study were a family of three with few talks among family members other than those needed for basic needs of the family. Two instruments were used for this study. One was Lim's (2010) communication type scale, a modified version of Song's (1985) scale and Lee's (1998) scale, both of which were based on Satir's theories. The other was Kinetic Family Drawing to analyze the intra-family interactions and dynamics of the family. These instruments were used at a pre, post, and follow-up test. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the study found the effects of family art therapy on improving the intra-family communication. Second, the study found the effects of family art therapy on improving the intra-family interactions. These findings indicate that family art therapy was effective in improving the intra-family communication and interactions. Since there have been few studies with this theme despite the positive effects of family art therapy, continuous studies should be made.
