본 연구는 어머니의 상실을 경험한 미술치료사의 자기성찰 과정에 관한 내러티브 탐구이며, 연구자의 미술 작업을 이용하여 애도 경험의 과정을 탐구하는 데 목적이 있으며, 내러티브 탐구 방법을 사용하였다. 연구는 2020년 11월부터 2022년 1월까지 이루어졌으며, 계획에 따라 8회기 애도 과정에 대한 미술 작업과 텍스트로부터 나온 기록을 동시에 작성해 가며 성찰적 글쓰기를 진행하였다. 도출된 주제는 ‘애착 상실에 예견된 슬픔을 마주하다’, ‘텅 빈 존재가 된 나를 만나다’, ‘삶의 한 과정임을 알다’, ‘숨을 쉬기 위해 세상과 소통하다’로 총 4개이다. 위 과정을 통해 연구자는 내담자와의 상담 과정 중 역전이를 알아차리게 되었고, 나에 대한 탐색은 스스로 치유를 통한 내면의 성장이 이루어졌으며, 마지막으로 미술 작업을 통해 창조과정 속에서 성찰하는 나의 모습을 발견한 경험의 의미를 찾았다. 본 연구는 미술 작업을 활용하여 미술치료사의 자기성찰을 경험하는 과정과 그 과정이 전문성 향상에 도움을 준다는 것을 밝혔으며, 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study was a narrative inquiry into the self-reflection process of an art therapist who experienced the loss of a mother. The study researcher conducted reflective writing by simultaneously creating artworks and recording texts about the grief process of 8th session from November 2020 to January 2022. This process applied a narrative inquiry method. The inquiry derived 4 themes: ‘Facing the foreseen sorrow of losing an attachment,' ‘Meeting myself as an emptied being,' ‘Knowing that it is a part of life,' and ‘Communicating with the world to breathe again.' Through the process‚ the researcher became aware of countertransference during the counseling session with the participant. The inquiry led to inner growth through self-healing and perceiving the self-reflective while creating artworks. This study revealed the art therapist's self-reflection experience using artwork and that this process helped to improve their professionality Based on these contents, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
