초록
People from all countries, including China, today face crises that are directly linked to survival. Such crises threaten ecosystems, economies, and societies with terrorism and immorality, alongside the decline of the humanistic spirit, expansion of greed, prevalence of consumerism, emotional insecurity, and alienation. In the face of these problems, people were prompted to think again about the functions and values of the spirit of romanticism. In other words, romanticism is not a trend of literature that belongs to the past, but something that still holds significant meaning. Therefore, critique and studies on romantic literature must continue. In particular, ecological romanticism must be studied further, as its contributions to emotional stability and reflection on the meaning of nature are essential for today’s society. Chinese romantic literature has an autogenous sense of direction based on the resources of its own country, as well as the openness to accept foreign resources. Thus, as the tradition of Chinese romantic literature continued unbroken, various new forms of romantic literature emerged. It will specifically address an alternative path to overcome East Asian ecological crisis through the variation of romanticism and ecological romanticism in China.
