A Study on the Responses of Joseon Scholars and the Influence of These Books after the Sikuquanshuzongmu and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu Were Transmitted to the Joseon

Sikuquanshu(≪四庫全書≫) was a large-scale publishing project of the 18th century, which greatly had been influenced the later generations in the field of thought and culture. It is noteworthy that when the Qing Dynasty compiled the Sikuquanshu, the Joseon Academia was very interested in this project. Due to the constraints of objective conditions, the Sikuquanshu could not be delivered to Joseon, but as related works such as Sikuquanshuzongmu(≪四庫全書總目≫) and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu(≪四庫全書簡明目錄≫) were delivered to Joseon, Joseon scholars in the 18th and 19th centuries gradually understood the contents of the Sikuquanshu Naturally Sikuquanshuzongmu(≪四庫全書總目≫) and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu(≪四庫全書簡明目錄≫) echoed the different levels of Joseon Academia. To date, there are not many previous studies examining Sikuquanshuzongmu(≪四庫全書總目≫) and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu(≪四庫全書簡明目錄≫) under the background of Joseon kingdom, and the reviews is also insufficient in content. This paper found that when the Qing Dynasty compiled a Sikuquanshuzongmu(≪四庫全書總目≫) and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu(≪四庫全書簡明目錄≫) on the basis of related feeds, there were two kinds of perceptions that the Joseon academia seemed to contradict. This paper also intends to provide a reference for China-Korea book exchange by examining the perspectives of Joseon scholars on archeology after the related books such as Sikuquanshuzongmu and Sikuquanshujianmingmulu were disseminated to Joseon.
