박완서와 장제의 소설에 나타난 여성주의의 궤적 비교 연구 — 1970-1980년대를 중심으로

Abstract

It can be seen from the works and activities of Park Wansuh and Zhang Jie that their active periods and trajectories are alike, and the starting point is close, too. In the early works of the two writers, a new meaning is found in the novel as the object of “testimony” through the healing of wounds and trauma. In their later works, they narrated the male-centered world through the separation of ideas (men) and women (issues), revealing the deprivation of women’s freedom to love (marry). The female characters who are deprived of the freedom to love (marry) have various resistant neurological diseases that appear in Park Wansuh’s works are uncertain, but Zhang Jie’s works are definite. This paper analyzes the “non-dominance” of the female characters in their works in the 80s of the 20th century who cannot dominate in their relationship with the male figures. In common expression of the non-dominance, Park Wansuh demonstrates the non-dominance of the worldview, and Zhang Jie shows the non-dominance of the characters. As time passes, the common parts and the differences within the commonality of these works have shown a tendency to deepen. In other words, due to conceptual and fundamental problems such as “deprivation of freedom to love (marriage)” and “deprivation of dominance”, the level of the problem sinks to lower levels, as well as inside this commonality, it gradually changes to the deepening problem of “differences in objects” and “differences in fields.”
