아가멤논에서 아이스킬로스는 정의, 인간 운명, 그리고 인간과 신의 질서, 죄와 응징간의 상충되는 문제에 관심을 갖는다. 또한 아가멤논에서 아이스킬로스는 도덕적 질서의 수호자로 여긴 제우스에 중심을 두었다.제우스는 고통을 통해 배움의 원칙을 수립하였다. 제우스는 인간에게 고통을 통한 지혜를 부여함으로써 은총을 베풀었다. 제우스의 정의는 고통을 통해 지혜를 깨닫게 하는 보복정의이다. 제우스의 정의는 강자의 권리로서 나타나는 독단적인 정의인 동시에 힘에 의해 뒷받침된 보복의 정의인 것이다.아가멤논의 선택은 예정된 신의 뜻과 한 아가멤논 자신의 자유의지 간의 충돌을 나타낸다. 아가멤논의 선택은 아가멤논 자신이 내린 자발적인 결단인 반면에 제우스의 뜻에 의해 이미 정해진 선택이었다. 제우스는 아가멤논이 판단을 할 수 없도록 하기 위해 아테를 보냈다. 이피게니아를 희생한 아가멤논의 죄는 아트레우스 왕가로부터 내려온 원죄의 결과이다. 아트레우스 왕가의 원죄 혹은 개인적 과오 혹은 실수, 판단력 상실, 오만으로 인해 아가멤논은 비극적 종말을 맞게 된 것이다.궁극적으로 아가멤논에서 관객 개개인은 죄와 벌의 공포와 두려움을 통한 지혜를 얻게 하고, 국가적인 측면에서는 유혈보복을 통한 고통을 통해 폴리스 수호에 대한 지혜를 깨닫게 해준다.
Abstract
In Agamemnon, Aeschylus concerned with justice, human being fate, a crime and punishment, and the problems arising from the conflict between human existence and divine rule. Also He focused on Zeus who is conceived as the upholder of a moral order. Zeus established the principle of learning through suffering. Zeus gave grace by giving wisdom through pain to a human being. Justice of Zeus is one of revenge realizing wisdom through pain to a human being. Besides, it backed up by power, and also dogmatic justice to be appeared as a right of the strong man. The choice of Agamemnon shows a collision between the destined will of Zeus and the free will of Agamemnon himself. The choice of Agamemnon is the voluntary decision that he choose himself, but also it can be thought as the destined one by Zeus’s will. Zeus took away his judgement and sent Ate to force him to consent. The guilt of Agamemnon from the sacrifice of Iphigeneia is the consequence of the original guilt inherited from Atreus. Agamemnon came to the tragic ending because of the original sin, personal blunders, mistakes, the judgement loss, and arrogance. Ultimately in Agamemnon, the each of spectators got wisdom through the fear and terror of a crime and punishment and realized wisdom for the police protection through pain to keep bloodshed revenge at the national aspect.
