초록
Korean swetpotato, Ipomoea batatas, varieties were examined for the cros-compatibility and -incompatibility throughinter-croses among them to obtain the fundamental genetic informations for enhancing the heterosis breeding efficiency. The pol-len germination, tube elongation in pistil and normal sed-seting were observed in compatible crosses, but it was not identified incross-incompatible combinations. Through complete diallel croses among thirty three Korean swetpotato varieties, six cross-incompatible groups were identified. Group I contains eight varieties such as Jinhongmi, Sinchunmi, Mokpo 28, Singeonmi,Mokpo 41, Jeungmi, Shinyulmi, Sinhwangmi, and Group II was consisted with twelve varieties such as Mokpo 39, Mokpo 40,Hongmi, Hwangmi, Saengmi, Seonmi, Wonmi, Poongmi, Mokgye 2, Borami, Suwon 147, Sinjami, Group II with thre varietiessuch as Mokpo 31, Mokpo 32 and Mokpo 34, Group IV with thre varieties such as Mokpo 36, Younmi and Mokgye 1, Group Vwith three varieties such as Gunmi, Yulmi and Zami, Group VI with two varieties such as Eunmi and Chinmi. However, the twovarieties such as Shinmi and Mokgye 3 were compatible with al cross combinations with the tested varieties. Saengmi showed par-tial male sterility.
