공동체 활동에 따른 주거환경 만족도, 집합적 효능, 개인의 정신건강 관계 연구:서울시를 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 주거환경 만족도, 집합적 효능, 그리고 개인의 정신건강 간의 관계에서 공동체 활동의 조절효과를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울서베이 자료를 사용하여 공동체활동 참여 수준이 높고 낮음에 따라 주거환경 만족도, 집합적 효능, 그리고 개인의 정신건강간의 관계가 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지 다집단 구조방정식 모형을 통해 확인하였다. 분석결과 공동체 활동 참여 정도가 주거환경 만족도, 집합적 효능, 그리고 스트레스 간의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히, 공동체 활동에 적극적으로 참여할수록 주거환경 만족도가 높아지고, 집합적 효능을 향상시키며, 스트레스를 완화시키는 효과가 더욱 크게 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 근린환경의 개선을 통해 정신건강을 증진시키기 위해서는 공동체 활동 지원 사업이 함께 이루어져야 함을 시사한다. 이러한 양상을 이해하고, 정신건강 관련 정책 방향으로 공동체 활동 참여에 대한 활발한 지원을 시행한다면, 시민들의 삶의 질에 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 것으로 사료된다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the moderation effects of community participation activity in the relationship among residential environment satisfaction, collective efficacy, and individual mental health. The data for the analysis was 19,846 samples collected through the questionnaire survey method in Seoul Survey at 2018. Multi-group structural equations modeling was used in terms of high and low level of community participation activity. The findings from this study were as follows: there was significant mediated effect of collective efficacy in the relationship between residential environment satisfaction and individual mental health. In additions, there was a significant moderated effect in the relationship among residential environment satisfaction, collective efficacy, and individual mental health in terms of two groups in communion participant activity level. This findings imply that community participant activity has positive effect on individual mental health through residential environment satisfaction and collective efficacy.
