탈문자시대의 미디어 문화와 이용자에 관한 이론적 연구―포스터, 플루서, 비릴리오의 입장을 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 매체기술 발전의 역사적 시대 구분과 미디어 문화에 대한 다양한 이론적 관점들을 구분하고 비교함으로써 탈문자시대의 미디어 문화와 이용자에 관한 연구의 이론적 토대를 마련하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 정보양식론을 처음으로 제시한 마크 포스터(Mark Poster), 코드의 역사적 변화를 통해 커뮤니케이션의 역사와 이론 및 철학을 제시한 빌렘 플루서(Vilém Flusser), 그리고 속도와 정치의 결합이 초래하는 폭력성에 대해 비판하고 있는 폴 비릴리오(Paul Virilio)의 역사적 시대구분에 대한 이론적 입장을 논의의 중심 대상으로 삼고자 한다. 이 이론가들의 입장을 논의의 대상으로 삼은 이유는 세 이론가 공히 기술중심주의적 접근에 대해 일정한 거리를 두면서 역사적 시대 구분을 행하고 있고, 미디어 문화와 이용자에 대한 독특한 개념과 이론적 관점을 제시하고 있기 때문이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to provide the theoretical foundation for the research on median culture and user in post-alphabet era by comparing and categorizing the various theoretical perspectives on the visual culture and historical steps of media and its use. In order to achieve the purpose, my intention is deliver the main focus of this research from the discussion and theoretical opinion about historical and periodical classifications that has been discussed by Mark Poster who has introduced the theory Mode of Information for the first time, Vilém Flusser who has provided the history, theory and philosophy of the communicational history through the historical change of codes, Paul Virilio who has criticized the violence caused by speed and politics.
