부부폭력가해자의 성장기아동학대경험이 자녀학대에 미치는 영향 - 부모역할만족도를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 부부폭력이 일어나는 가정에서의 자녀는 폭력의 희생양이 될 가능성이 높음을 인식하여 부부폭력가해자인 아버지를 중심으로 자녀학대의 실태 및 부부폭력가해자의 성장기학대경험이 자녀학대에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 아울러 부모역할만족도의 매개효과를 검증하여 자녀학대가 발생하는 메커니즘을 규명하였다. 본 연구를 위해 연세대학교 사회복지연구소에서 2006년 8월 25일부터 2007년 8월 25일까지 전국 65개 가정폭력위탁상담기관에 가정폭력 행위자 교정‧치료 프로그램에 참여하는 가정폭력행위자 275명을 대상으로 실시한 여성가족부 과제용역『가정폭력 행위자 교정‧치료 프로그램 효과성 분석』의 데이터를 사용하였다. 그 결과, 지난 1년 동안 부부폭력가해자인 아버지들의 42.7%가 자녀에 대하여 언어학대를 행사한 것으로 보고하였으며 경미한 신체학대를 행사한 경우는 50.1%, 심각한 신체학대를 행사한 경우는 18.5%로 보고하여 절반가량의 부부폭력가해자가 자녀에 대하여 언어학대 및 경미한 신체학대를 가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부부폭력가해자의 성장기학대경험과 자녀학대의 관계에서 부모역할만족도의 매개효과를 검증한 결과. 부모역할만족도는 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다
Abstract
This paper recognizes the heightened possibility of children becoming victims of violence in families in which conjugal violence occurs. Focusing on fathers who are conjugal violence perpetrators, this paper examines the actual situation of parents who abuse their children and how it is influenced by their own experience of abuse in adolescence. Moreover, the mediating effect of parental role satisfaction is inspected and the mechanism of child abuse is closely examined. For the study, data from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s workbook, “Analysis of the Effectiveness of the Correction and Rehabilitation Program for Family Violence Perpetrators,” which was researched by Yonsei University’s Social Welfare Research Center using 275 family violence perpetrators who participated in the correction and rehabilitation program for family violence perpetrators at 65 commissioned counseling organizations for family violence all over the country from August 25, 2006 to August 25, 2007. The results show that in the past one year, 42.7% of fathers who are conjugal violence perpetrators were reported to have verbally abused their children, 50.1% physically abused their children slightly, and 18.5% physically abused their children seriously. This shows that about half of conjugal violence perpetrators also verbally abused their children or physically abused them slightly. Also, with respect to the relationship between the conjugal violence perpetrators’ experience of abuse during adolescence and their abuse of their children, the result of examining the mediating effect of parental role satisfaction shows that it plays a partially mediating role.
