Abstract
It is important to implement effective psychosocial interventions for survivors of childhood and adolescent cancers and their families to improve psychosocial quality of life in long-term survivorship trajectories. This systematic review examined the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions for Korean survivors and adolescent cancers and their families in studies conducted between 1975 and 2019. Of 13 studies that met criteria for inclusion, most interventions focused on survivors who experienced cancer and the type of intervention concentrated mainly on art therapy. In terms of outcomes, all studies reported the effectiveness of interventions in psychological, social, and holistic aspects. However, most studies did not provide internal validity and thus, had insufficient evidence for the effectiveness of interventions. This study has implications for providing scientific evidence when developing effective psychosocial interventions for survivors of childhood and adolescent cancers and their families.
