Abstract
Although a wide variety of artificial intelligence products have been introduced and voice recognition speakers are widely available, users often stop using them because of technical failures. Therefore, we are interested in how to help people continue using the voice recognition speakers even when they made mistakes. We borrowed the psychological and behavioral economics studies demonstrating that anthropomorphism induces consumers to buy new products to argue that anthropomorphic voice recognition speaker will increase users intentions to continue to use the speakers after committing mistakes. We conducted two experiments. We found from the first experiment that participants were more likely to continue using the speaker even after it made mistakes when the speaker was visually anthropomorphized. We replicated the findings in the second experiment that is, participants were more likely to continue using the speaker after it made mistakes when its instruction was verbally anthropomorphized.
