한주 이진상의 심주재성과 존덕성공부론 - 『심경관계心經窾啓』를 중심으로

이 글은 『심경관계』를 중심으로 이진상 사상의 심성론적 특징이 어떠한 공부론을 전개하고 있는지를 『심경부주』에 가장 중요한 논란이었던 주자만년정론에 대한 그의 입장을 중심으로 살폈다. 『심경관계』는 「심경도설」과 「심경차의」를 합한 것으로, 전자는 17개의 도와 3편의 도설로 구성되어 있고, 후자는 251개의 항목에 차의를 붙였다. 이를 통해 보면 이진상은 이황과 정구의 심경에 대한 입장을 계승하고 있으면서도 자신의 독특한 성리설, 특히 심설에 대한 실천적 공부론으로 연결시키고 있다. 즉 그의 심설에 중요한 특징은 심의 주재성이며, 심즉리설과 리발일도설은 결국 마음의 진체인 리를 부각시키고자 하는 의도에서 심즉리란 심의 본체와 묘용의 관계에서 그 본체를 드러내어 말한 것이며, 이것이 성발위정性發爲情의 관점에서 사단이나 칠정이 모두 그 체는 성이므로 리발일도가 여기서 나오게 되는 것이다. 그런 점에서 경을 통한 미발의 함양공부는 심즉리설과 리발일도설에서 나타나는 심의 주재성을 유지하기 위한 실천방법이었던 것이다.
Abstract
This article asks what is the epistemic feature in Lee Jin Sang centered on SimGyungGuanGae(心經窾啓) and what Aristotle develops his theory of study. Finally, I must look at his position on the most argumentative ‘the treatise on the Last theory of Zhuxi(朱子晩年定論)’ in SimGyungGuanGae(心經窾啓). SimGyungGuanGae(心經窾啓) is SimGyungDoSeol(心經圖說) plus SimGyungChaui(心經箚疑). SimGyungDoSeol(心經圖說) consists of 17 diagrams and 3 Interpretation on diagrams. And SimGyungChaeui(心經箚疑) has cha-ui with 251 items. Though this, Lee Jin Sang inherits theory of mind in Yi Hwange and Jung gu with his own unique Neo-confucianism(性理學). In other words an important feature of his mind theory is the Superintendence Character of mind. ‘Our Mind is Principle(心卽理說)’ and ‘the issuance of only Li(理發一途說)’ are intentions to emphasize the chin of the mind, and in the relationship between the Body of Thing and its Practical Operation of the mind. This is from the point of view of ‘human nature turns into emotion(性發爲情)’, because both body and soul are castle, ‘the issuance of only Li(理發一途說)’ comes out from here. immersive nourishing before the activation of mind’(未發涵養) through Ching(敬) is practical way to keep Superintendence Character of mind in ‘Our Mind is Principle(心卽理說)’ and ‘the issuance of only Li(理發一途說)’
