성인 운동선수들의 스포츠 승부조작 경험에 관한 실태

초록

이 연구의 목적은 국내 아마추어 성인 운동선수를 대상으로 스포츠 승부조작의 경험에 관한 실태를 확인하는 것이다. 구체적으로 이 연구에서는 성인 운동선수가 경험했던 ‘직접 승부조작’과 ‘간접 승부조작’을 기반으로 승부조작이‘언제, 누구에 의해, 무엇을 위해, 어떻게 이루어지는지?’ 그리고 ‘승부조작 예방교육을 받은 경험이 있는지?’ 등을 통해 국내 스포츠에서 승부조작이 이루어지는 현상을 확인하였다. 이 목적을 위해 국내 대학 및 실업(군 포함)에서 활동하고 있는 성인 운동선수 586명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 승부조작에 대한 직접 및 간접 경험을 조사하였다. MS-Excel과 SPSS를 활용하여 자료를 분석하였으며, 승부조작 경험에 관한 빈도와 백분율을 산출하고 교차분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 국내 아마추어 성인운동선수 586명 중; 첫째, 7.4%에 해당하는 43명의 선수가 승부조작의 제안을 받았던 경험이 있으며, 4.0%에 해당하는 23명의 선수가 실제 승부조작에 가담한 경험을 가지고 있었다. 승부조작 제안에 따른 가담수준은 54.0% 수준이다. 둘째, 스포츠 승부조작 관련 예방교육의 경험을 지닌선수는 25.8%에 해당하는 151명이며, 교육경험이 없는 선수들은 74.2%(435명) 수준이다. 셋째, 국내 아마추어 운동선수들은 ‘전국규모 대회’의 ‘고등부’ 경기에서, ‘지도자(감독 및 코치)’에 의해, ‘상급학교 진학’을 목적으로 한 승부조작의 발생구조에 대해 높은 경험을 지니고 있음을 확인하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 향후 스포츠 교육, 정책 등 다양한스포츠 분야에서 승부조작의 실태를 이해하여 교육 프로그램 개발 및 스포츠 정책입안을 위한 기초자료로서 활용될수 있을 것으로 판단한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze amateur adult athletes’ actual conditions of match-fixing experience. In detail, the study confirmed the phenomenon of match-fixing nationwide based on adult athletes’ experience of ‘indirect match-fixing’ and ‘direct match-fixing’. The questions such as ‘when’, ‘by whom’, ‘for what’, and ‘how’ match-fixing was done and whether the ‘athletes has received match-fixing prevention education’ were asked. To achieve the research purpose, 586 athletes playing for university and business sports teams were chosen as research subjects. MS-Excel and IBM SPSS were used to analyze data, calculate the frequency and the percentage of sports match-fixing experience and to perform χ² analysis. The study results are as follows. First, out of 586 athletes, 7.4%(43 athletes) was offered match-fixing, and 4.0%(23 athletes) actually experienced match-fixing. Those who accepted match-fixing offer was 54.0%. Second, athletes who had match-fixing prevention education was 25.8%(151 athletes), and athletes with no education was 74.2%(435 athletes). Third, the main pattern that national amateur athletes experienced match-fixing was ‘at high school students nationwide competition’, ‘by coaches’, and ‘for the purpose of entering higher educational institutions’. The result of this study will be used as baseline data in various sports field of games, education and politics to for better understanding of match-fixing.
