하키선수의 스프린트 구간을 설정하기 위하여 사용된 도구는 GPS(Global Positioning System: 위치정보시스템)를 이용해 개발된 SPI Elite System(GPSports, Canberra, Australia)이다.

Abstract

It has been suggested that sprint ability is thought to be an important fitness component of team sports. The purpose of this study was to assess the individual and team sprint for performance analysis in field-hockey using global positioning system(GPS). 21 male filed hockey players completed 5 matches. During game of field hockey each subject wearing GPS (SPI Elite System, GPSports, Canberra, Australia). The data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 for mean, standard deviation, and 95% confidence level for sprinting of individual and team. Results showed that according to positions linka was highest in the maximum speed (29.88km/h), the defense had the next maximum speed (28.46km/h), and the latest was striker (27.58km/h) on average. Field hockey player require fast speed against higher performance team.
