『성종실록』에 나타난 『논어』인용 기사의 사례 연구 - 상소 ‧ 경연기사를 중심으로 -

이 글은 『성종실록』에 나타난 상소·경연을 중심으로 『논어』 인용 기사의 사례의 의미를 검토하는 데 있다. 먼저 ‘『성종실록』에 나타난 논어 인용 기사 사례’를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 ‘『성종실록』의 상소·경연에 나타난 『논어』 인용 기사의 주요 분석’을 도표로 집약 정리한다. 이에 대한 그 전체적인 의미를 네 가지 정도로 종합하여 도출하였다. 첫째, 당시 기사의 주제나 내용을 통해 문제가 되는 현안을 파악한다. 둘째, 『논어』의 어떠한 문장을 인용했는지, 그 속에 『논어』는 어떠한 역할과 의미를 지니는지 검토한다. 셋째, 당시 현안의 문제를 해결하기 위한 군신 간의 일 처리 태도의 입장을 검토한다. 넷째, 인용된 『논어』에서 공자의 사상을 확인해 보면 당시 조선시대의 정치‧사회‧문화에 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤는지 가늠할 수 있다. 특히 인과 군자와 효제‧충신‧예의[孝‧弟‧忠‧信‧禮‧義] 등의 조목은 공자가 추구하는 인간상에 속할 뿐만 아니라, 유교정치를 작동시키는 원리로서 수제치평의 사상을 이루는 근저이며 방도라 할 수 있다. 이러한 사상과 문화 속에서 수백 년 혹은 수천 년을 이어온 국가‧사회의 전통이, 결국 우리나라를 ‘동방예의지국(東方禮儀之國)’이라는 칭호를 얻게 한 이유 중 하나의 단면이라고 파악할 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to review the meaning of the case of the Analects of focusing on the appeals and competitions that appeared in the Seongjong Silok. First of all, this study analyzes the case study of the Analects of Confucius cited articles in the Annals of Seongjong, and summarizes the main analysis of the Analects of Confucius cited articles in the appeals and contests of the Annals of Seongjong in a diagram. The overall meaning of this was derived by synthesizing it into four. First, we can see what issues were of interest in politics during the Joseon Dynasty through the topics and contents of the articles at the time. Second, what kind of sentences are quoted in the Analects of Confucius and what roles and meanings the Analects of Confucius have in them are examined. Third, it examines the position of the attitude of handling work between the military gods to solve the problems of current issues at the time. In the "Annals of the Joseon Dynasty", the meaning of the criticism of historians can be seen as a boundary between the power of the future king and the power of his servants by imposing rewards and punishments. Fourth, if you check Confucius's thoughts in the cited Analects of Confucius, you can get a good idea of the role he played in the politics, ideas, and culture of the Joseon Dynasty at the time. In particular, Gunja and filial piety, respect, loyalty, trust, etiquette, and loyalty are the foundations and means of Confucius's image of the Person and the ideas of Su-sin, Je-ga, Chi-guk, and Pyeong-cheanha. In these ideas and cultures, the traditions of the state and society that have continued for hundreds or thousands of years can be understood as one of the reasons why Korea was eventually given the title of "Eastern Courtesy Country."
