申師任堂의 生涯에 나타난 셀프리더십과 어머니리더십에 관한 연구— 현대 여성의 리더십교육에 주는 시사점을 중심으로 —

본 연구의 목적은 신사임당의 생애에 대한 고찰을 토대로 셀프리더십과 어머니리더십을 재조명하여, 현대 여성 리더십교육에 주는 시사점을 찾아보는 데에 목적이 있다. 이 연구를 통해서 사임당 리더십요소를 발견하여, 여성리더십교육 프로그램의 교육컨텐츠로 제시되기를 기대한다. 신사임당은 지금부터 500여년 전의 엄격한 유교사회에서 태어났지만, 현재까지도 예술가로서 뿐만 아니라 높은 미덕과 인품을 갖춘 어머니로서 존경받고 있다. 본 연구는 문헌연구방법으로 이루어졌으며, 연구 자료는 사임당관련 선행연구와 전해지고 있는 詩書畵를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 신사임당은 가부장적 사회에 태어났지만, 부모와 조부모를 통해서 바르게 지도 받고 성장하였으며, 뛰어난 개인적 역량과 예술적 재능을 그의 작품에서 펼쳤다. 또한 가정경영 뿐만 아니라, 자녀양육에 기울였던 신사임당의 삶은 현대에도 귀감이 되는 요소들을 찾을 수 있었다. 사임당의 셀프리더십 속성으로는 도전과 창의성, 자기주도성을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 그리고 어머니리더십의 속성으로는 신의와 가내범절지향성, 효제와 입지지향성의 속성을 찾아 볼 수 있었다. 사임당의 리더십은 개인의 발전과 성장, 가정경영, 자녀양육 차원에서 그 가치가 부각된다. 이러한 사신임당의 어머니리더십에 대한 새로운 이해는 시대를 초월한 가치 있는 요소이다. 앞으로 우리 역사가운데 걸출한 리더십을 발휘했던 여성의 리더십을 찾아 현대여성의 리더십 교육에 활용 될 수 있는 실용적인 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지길 기대한다.
Abstract
This research is to find implications for modern education of woman leadership based on the consideration of Saimdang’s life and investigation of her self-leadership and mother-leadership. We expect that this research will be suggested as education contents for woman leadership by discovery the factor of Saimdang’s leadership. Although Sin Saimdang was born 500 years ago in strict Confucian society, she is respected as artist and mother who has noble virtue and personality. This study is performed by the literature investigation preceding research and Saimdang’s poetries and oriental paintings. Although Sin Saimdang was born in patriarchal society, she was well grown up as artist showing artistic ability on her poetries and oriental paintings. The Saimdang’s life is regarded as a role model not only for home management but also for rearing children in modern society. The characteristics of Saimdang’s self-leadership are challenge, creativity, and self-directed attitude. Faith, courtesy, filial piety and brotherly love, and future-oriented thought are the factors of Saimdang’s leadership as mother. These values have great meaning in terms of individual growth, home management, and rearing children. Saimdang’s mother leadership is transcendent value beyond the past. We expect that practical research for leadership education will be proceeded based on the discovery of great woman who displayed prominent leadership in our history.
