2008년 글로벌 금융위기로 크게 위축되었던 국내 소비심리가 2010년을 전후하여 눈에 띄게 활성화되면서 국내 유통시장의 내수소비도 큰 폭으로 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 한편으로는 현재 국내시장 여건이, 대내외적 변화에 적극적으로 대응하기에는 많은 한계점과 문제점을 안고 있다. 먼저 우리 국내 유통산업이 안고 있는 문제점을 살펴보면, 국내 유통업체가 선진국에 비해 자본의 영세성 및 불충분한 물류인프라시설, 제도적 시스템의 미흡성을 들 수 있다. 이 같은 국내 유통산업의 문제점과 한계를 극복하고, 유통산업이 앞으로도 지속가능발전(sustainable development)을 이루기 위해서는, 국내 유통산업의 구조개선 및 선진화와 함께 무궁무진한 시장인 해외시장에 대한 적극적인 시장 확대가 필요하다. 왜냐하면국내 내수시장은 그 시장이 협소하고 이미 성숙기에 도달했으므로 향후 지속적인 성장에 한계가 있기 때문이다. 반면 중앙아시아시장을 비롯한 이른바 이머징 마켓(emerging market)의 팽창은 더욱 가시화되고 있고 또 향후 성장 가능성이 높기 때문에 이 같은 신흥시장에 주목할 필요가 있다. 특히 우리나라와 지역적으로 가까운 중앙아시아지역에 대한 시장 진출을 적극 고려해 볼 필요성이 있다. 이에 따라 본고에서는 이 같은 관점에서 먼저 국내 유통시장의 문제점을 조망해 보고, 해외시장 개척의 필요성과 그 구체적인 방안을 모색해 보고자 하며, 특히 중앙아시아국가 중 가장 규모가 큰 나라인 카자흐스탄을 중심으로 우리의 중앙아시아진출방안을 검토하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this treatise is to ascertain Kazakhstan's potential power for economic growth through the study of the distribution market in the Central Asia, and contemplate measures that will allow Korea to make inroads in to that market. Bazaar market is a traditional distribution market in the Central Asia. The distribution market recently taking shape in the Central Asia, it appearance as big 'emerging market' of the World , in 21th Century. The problems of our nation's distribution industry are poverty of fund and insufficient of distribution infrastructures and lack of institutional systems. Then, overcome to the problems and limitations of our nation's distribution industry, and 'sustainable development' of this industry needs advancement for our nation's distribution industry and enlargement for develop to it's maket in abroad. It presents Korea' firm with new opportunities for economic growth and reinforcement to Korea's World - class competitiveness in the Central Asia. However, the distribution market in the Central Asia also presents significant obstacles including lack of money or fund and ability of business administration at foreign area. This paper intends to outline strategies Korea might want to consider for its entry into the Central Asia distribution market. As the entry strategy involves, by nature, a highly political agreement with Central Asia region's government and Korea's government. I think that country risks latent in the Central Asia should be handled and managed most deliberately. In conclusion, I think that Central Asia region is a so-called 'emerging market'in the World in future, and in developing regions like the BRICs.
