심층인터뷰 방법을 이용한 한국 항공물류산업의 장애요인과 발전전략 연구

최근 한국의 국제물류에서 항공물류의 중요도와 의존도가 높아지고 있는데, 항공화물은 주로 첨단산업의 고부가가치 제품으로 선진국형 산업에서 발생하기 때문이다. 또한 항공물류 분야는 특수하고높은 전문성이 요구되는 산업적 특성을 가지고 있다. 현시점에서 실효성 있는 연구를 위해서는 기존의양적인 접근에 의한 연구뿐만 아니라, 질적인 측면에서의 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 질적 연구방법인심층인터뷰 방법으로 항공물류 분야의 전문가들을 대상으로 현실적인 연구문제를 질의하고 수집된 의견을 분석하였다. 심층인터뷰에서 사용된 구체적인 연구문제는 3가지로 화물특성에 따른 허브화의 가능성, 항공물류산업 발전을 위한 전략요인과 장애요인으로 구성되었다. 연구결과, 정부기관과 민간기업의 전문가들의 일치하는 의견도 나타났고, 한편으로는 관점의 차이가 발생한 의견도 제시되었다. 본연구는 한국의 항공물류산업 분야의 전문가들의 인터뷰를 통해 의견을 수집하고 분석하여 시기적으로부합하는 실효성 있는 전략적 시사점을 제시하고 있다는 점에 의미가 있다.
Abstract
Very recently, the importance and the level of reliance on the air logistics has increasingly grown in thecontext of Korean international logistics. Such an industrial observation holds quite true primarily becausethe air cargo is a high value-added product/service and that phenomenon is shared in common among themost developed countries due to its inherent characteristic/nature. In addition, the field of air logistics hasbeen characterized as the industrial sector that requires considerably high level of specialties andprofessionalism. In the face of recent need to do a more relevant and timely study, the authors propose aqualitative study, let alone the ordinary quantitative ones those have been employed previously. As such,utilizing an in-depth interview of the field managers in the area of air logistics in terms of data collectionmethod, the present study is designed to inquire and to analyze those experts’ opinions on the relevantissues regarding the Korean air logistics industry. The three detailed research issues discussed in thein-depth interview are 1. the possibility of becoming a hub depending on the cargo characteristics, and 2. the strategic factors for the purpose of developing the Korean air logistics industry, and, 3. the obstaclefactors impeding the Korean air logistics industry in the future. The analysis of the interview indicates thatinterestingly enough, while there is a consensus of opinion in a few areas of questions between thegovernment institute and the private corporations, they present different opinions as to the efficient way todevelop Korean air logistics industry. This study has a significance of proposing very timely relevantstrategic implications since it collects and analyzes real opinions through an interviews of professionals inKorean air logistics industry.
