전북 혁신도시와 지역농업의 연계 전략

Abstract

Innovation city is one of the national development strategies, which is based on the paradigm of innovation-driven mutual development centering around local areas. And the government's consistent and strong will to execute the plan on innovation city is crucial to allowing local areas to have an opportunity to achieve development. In Jeollabuk-do(province) the economy is mainly supported by agricultural areas and regional agriculture. In the process of developing Jeollabuk-do(province) into Jeonbuk Innovation city, therefore, the plan should be promoted in connection with agriculture-related authorities and strategies. To do so, a wide area network needs to be established for relocation of public agencies outside the capital region and cooperation with relevant companies, universities, and research institutes. More important, pursuing balanced development based on regional characteristics is needed rather than passively relying on the plan designed by the central government. Also, assuming that innovation city is promoted continually, details of the strategy should be presented and a new drive to regional agriculture explored, providing a foundation for mutual development.
