Abstract
The purpose of this study is to prioritize investment projects for Textile & Fashion Industry of Busan from a regional level. This study is to apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to prioritize investment projects proposed by central government. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, regional conditions are most important valuation criterion of investment sector. Following in order are profitability, ripple effect, risk. Second, the most important investment sector is an industrial fiber(importance percentage 63.52%), followed by functional dyeing(24.19%) and fashion apparel(12.29%). So Busan needs to concentrate on the investment of industrial fiber sector for fostering the Textile & Fashion industry. Third, nano-fiber is the most important one among the investment projects. Following in order are a aramid fiber, a high-strength PEN(Polyethylene Naphthalate) Textile and so on. Top three projects are belong to industrial fiber sector. A making decisions on investment policies can differ for each valuation criterion (regional conditions, profitability, ripple effect, risk). That is, a policymaker's project choice may differ along policy priorities. Or a policymaker can choose a investment project by score of each project.
