Abstract
Coming to an agreement on the metropolitan-wide governance plan, south-east regional economic zone can function as a growth axis and result in the efficient reconstitution of the land of the nation in the long run. As a result of the study, some industries have high degree of dependence upon other regions within South-East region as follows; agricultural raw materials, live animals and processed marine product, clothing and footwear, petrochemicals, car, shipbuilding, aerospace, utilities, Hotels and restaurants, logistics, Information and Communication, Financial and Insurance Services, Real estate, Renting and Business activities. Mainly most of those industries shows separately or commonly specialized features within three regions. This implies that it is required to rase regional based industry strategically and metropolitan-wide industrial policy is needed to be based on spatial relationship and production reliance due to the high degree of interdependence. The main results obtained from this study are as follows. First, we analyzed input and demand dependent system and found out output and employment inducing relationship. Considering the relationship, developing industrial cluster is mostly required to upgrade technology, strengthen innovation, and enhance industrial competitiveness. Second, we found out that many industries have insufficient demand basis in south-east region, Korea. And this can be interpreted as weakness of reproduction system. So it is required to maximize virtuous circulation of a supply-demand by way of increasing demand basis. Finally, it is required to remodelling the structure of cooperation and break down.
