Abstract

This study has put it's own purpose on looking into the real practice of the Danjijongtaek of Jinju Jinyang Ha family. The studies on the old literatures in the possession of clans have been proceeded mainly on individual old literature, given priority to the description of the formative process of clan and the present condition of old literature collection. On the basis on these academic concepts, this study has cleared up the history of the maintaining and preservation of the Danjijongtaek's old literature through various documents, included in the Danjijongtaek, written by the eldest grandson of the main family. As a result, I could see that Jangseogi not only tells us the books' collection history, but also functions as a mediator to recognize the importance of preservation to descendants. Ha jeong-geun, a man who had completed the convention to maintain and preserve the Danjijongtaek, had arrange old literatures to compile theSunjeogryupyun4 books, collected posthumous works of ancestors to publish theJisangsejerok, the twelve generations' work collection. Classified in genre and time period, the compiling method of Sunjeogryupyuncan show the unique internal structure of the old literature in possession of the Danjijongtaek. And the publication of Jisangsejerok has a great meaning because it had reconstituted the perfect genealogy of ancestor. It marks a step forward from the mere preservation of materials. The maintaining and preservation of the old literature of clans will be differed by the origin of clans and the status of the eldest grandson of the main family. I wish, by my study, the study on maintaining and preservation of the old literature owned by clans to be animated.
