부산지역 대졸자의 전공별 체류 실태와 특성 분석

본 연구는 부산지역 대졸자들의 전공에 초점을 맞춰 전공별 체류 실태와 특성을 분석함으로써 전공별 인력미스매치 완화를 통해 지역 체류 비중을 증가시키는 데 그 목적이 있다. 분석자료는 한국고용정보원의「대졸자직업이동경로조사」를 사용하였으며 독립변수는 전공을 중심으로 인적요인, 대학요인, 직장요인 등을, 종속변수는 체류 및 유출여부로 회귀분석하였다. 분석 결과, 먼저 부산지역 4년제 대졸자의 동남권 체류비중은 교육계열이 가장 높고 공학계열이 가장 낮았으며 특히 공학계열의 경우 정보통신산업의 수도권 유출비중이 높게 나타났다. 의학전공의 경우도 40.2%가 수도권으로 유출되었는데 이 결과는 의료서비스의 지역격차로 이어질 가능성이 높다. 그리고 부산지역 대졸자 중 동남권 취업자는 비동남권 취업자보다 전공일치도가 낮고, 수도권 취업자는 비수도권 취업자보다 전공일치도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 졸업한 동남권에서 전공에 적합한 일자리를 찾지 못한 졸업자가 전공을 찾아 수도권 등 다른 권역으로 이동하고 있음을 의미한다. 이러한 분석결과는 수도권 등 타 권역으로의 인재 유출을 막고 지역에서의 체류 비율을 높이기 위해서는 전공계열별 세부 전공들과 지역의 부문별 일자리 수요간의 정합성을 제고해야한다는 점을 시사한다. 또한 전공일치도를 높이려는 노력과 함께 향후 부산지역 대학의 전공개편에 있어 본 논문의 연구결과를 적극 반영해야 할 필요성을 제기하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to increase the proportion of students staying in the region by analyzing the status and characteristics of stays by major by focusing on the majors of university graduates in the Busan region. The analysis data used was the Korea Employment Information Service's "Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey" and a regression analysis was conducted with human factors, university factors, and workplace factors centered on major as the independent variable, and stay and outflow status as the dependent variable. As a result of the analysis, first, the proportion of 4-year university graduates in Busan staying in the southeastern region was highest in the education field and lowest in the engineering field. Among university graduates in the Busan area, those employed in the southeastern region had lower major congruence than those employed in the non-Southeastern region, while those employed in the metropolitan area had higher major congruence than those employed in the non-metropolitan area. This means that graduates who cannot find a job suitable for their major in the southeastern region are moving to other regions, such as the metropolitan area, in search of their major. These analysis results suggest that in order to increase the rate of stay in the region, it is necessary to improve the consistency between detailed majors and job demand in region.
