해외직접투자 기업의 재무성과에 관한 연구- 중국직접투자기업을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 대중국직접투자를 실행한 한국거래소의 상장제조기업 70개사를 표본기업으로 선정하고, 사건연구(Event-Study)의 방법으로 시장조정모형(Market Adjusted Model)을 이용하여 중장기투자성과를 검정하고자 하였다. 또한 대중국직접투자 기업과 통제기업의 재무비율분석을 통하여 총자산순이익률, 매출액순이익률, 자기자본순이익률, 부채비율, 고정부채비율, 유동부채비율, 총자산회전율, 재고자산회전율 등의 관계성을 파악함으로써 해외직접투자 성과를 재무적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 마지막으로 다중회귀분석을 통하여 기업의 재무상태를 나타내는 어떤 변수들이 재무성과에 영향요인으로 작용하는지 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 중국직접투자 사례를 대상으로 한 분석결과 중국진출 초기에는 유의적인 부(-)의 성과를 나타냈지만 약(+23)개월 이후 유의적인 정(+)의 누적초과수익(약15%)이 나타남으로서 우리나라 상장제조기업들의 중국직접투자 장기성과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 재무비율분석에서 대중국직접투자기업과 통제기업간에 차이가 있는 재무비율은 수익성비율과 활동성비율이며, 기타의 재무비율은 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 다중회귀분석 결과 대중국직접투자기업의 재무성과에 영향을 미치는 영향요인은 당좌비율, 유동비율, 총자산회전율 등의 순으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the reaction of sampling companies listed on Korea Exchange that started Direct Investment by Korean Firms in China and understanding subsequent responses in the stock market. By using stock price data based on Event-Study Methodology and Market Adjusted Model, we were able to analyze long-term results of the companies after foreign direct investment. We also used to financial ratio analysis in order to evaluate to financial performance and executed a regression analysis in order to evaluate factors influencing on financial performance of these companies. The results of this study can be summarized as follows:First, after analysing all direct investment cases, it turned out that a significant positive abnormal return was seen after (+23)months, since direct investment in china. Therefore, the long-term results of Direct Investment can yield highly positive results for stockholders and interested persons in Korea. Second, financial analysis showed that profitability ratio and activity ratio revealed the differences of Direct Investment Firms in China and contolled ones. The other financial ratios is analyzed a little of differences. Third, regression analysis revealed that the factor's order which influenced the effect of finacial performance was quick ratios, current ratios, total assets turnover.
