This is case on the achievement of CMMI-DEV V2.0 Level 5 certification based on the organization's process improvement and the improved process quality capabilities according to the CMMI model upgrade. To build a CMMI-DEV V2.0-based R&D process, a gap analysis between CMMI –DEV V2.0 model and HSC process was performed. The identified improvements were divided into processes and systems, and improved to satisfy CMMI-DEV V2.0 requirements. In order to improve the quantitative R&D project measurement system, a R&D project data book and a quantitative performance management tool were developed. The quantitative performance management tool is included in the R&D project measurement system so that the performance of the project can be managed together with the R&D indicator measurement. In order to monitor whether the improved process is being properly implemented, an internal audit was conducted, and the process implementation status was monitored and guided to improve the identified problems so that the process could be stably maintained. In addition, an online education and CMMI-DEV, V2.0 Handbook were developed and trained to improve the level and understanding of the company-wide development process which made it possible to achieve “CMMI-DEV V2.0 with SAM” Level 5 certification for the first time in Korea.
