초록
This is the paper for electromagnetic effects evaluation of Electrically Initiated Device(EID) on the unguided rocket. The unguided rocket is consisted of fuse, warhead, and motor which contains EID. When the unguided rocket is installed in Armed Helicopter, safety critical issue occurred by unintended EID operation by electromagnetic effects on the Armed Helicopter. One of the explosion factor of the unguided rocket is mechanical impact more than 20G that is absolutely not related to electromagnetic effects. So, that factor wasn’t considered in this paper. In order to verify safety operation in Armed Helicopter, the EMI testing of unguided rocket including EID is tailored based on MIL-STD-461F. Firstly, test configuration considered by Armed Helicopter installation was decided. The unguided rocket is loaded in the rocket launcher and connected only launch connector without required 20G signal connector. Secondly, Emission test item of MIL-STD-461F was tailored due to the stand-by condition where is no electrical power or signal. Normal operation mode of the unguided rocket is stand-by mode, thus, power source is unnecessary for testing. During the test, unintentional EID operation didn’t happen. Therefore, there is found that ungudided rocket successfully passed the MIL-STD-461F test and is eligible for Armed Helicopter installation.
