초록

본 연구는 외국인학습자 대상의 한국어교육에서 효과적인 문형교육을위해 형태초점 기법의 하나인 언어필수과제를 활용하여 문형과 주제를결합한 수업활동을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 문형교육은 한국어의 문장 구조를 체계적으로 보여줄 수 있는 기본문형 교육에서 출발하여야 하며, 기본문형은 한국어를 배우기 시작하는 초급단계에서 실시되는 것이 바람직하다고 판단된다. 따라서 초급단계에서 제시되는주제를 기분문형과 결합함으로써 맥락 속에서 형태를 학습할 수 있도록 하기 위해 형태초점 접근법의 적용을 시도하였다. 그리고 맥락과형태가 결합된 문형수업을 위해 형태초점의 여러 기법들 가운데서도언어필수과제를 적용한 교육 방안을 모색하였다. 언어필수과제는 학습자가 과제의 성공적 수행을 위해 목표문형을 필수적으로 사용하여야하도록 설계되므로 초급단계에서 문법형태를 익히기에 적합한 기법이다. 언어필수과제를 통해 문형을 주제와 연관시킴으로써 맥락 속에서문형이 자연스럽게 표출될 수 있는 수업활동의 예를 제시하였다. 언어필수과제와 같은 형태초점 기법을 활용한 형태-주제-과제를 결합한 문형 수업활동은 형태를 통해 한국어의 문장구조를 정확하게 이해하고, 과제를 통해 실제적 의사소통 상황을 경험하며, 주제를 통해 맥락에맞는 적절한 어휘와 표현, 문형 등을 사용할 수 있어서 한국어학습자의 통합적 의사소통능력을 향상시키는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
