In the discussion ofpure juvenile children’s literature initiated in the mid-1960s, thecollection of So-cheon Kang was highly acclaimed by the critics andresearchers of the time in that it collected and arranged artworks withliterary and artistic values. In 1981, Mooneumsa planned the collectionof Jeong-hwan Bang and that of So-cheon Kang in 15 volumes. Theadvertisement of the time greatly promoted that they were an anthologycollecting the artworks of the two prominent authors of Korea juvenileliterature, Jeong-hwan Bang and So-cheon Kang. In this perspective, itcan be learned that Jeong-hwan Bang and So-cheon Kang werepublicly acknowledged as a “children’s rights activist” and a leadingauthor of “Sunsumunhak(pure literature)” respectively.
