都市社火의 역사 인식을 위한 두 가지 논제 고찰

Abstract

In this paper, I tried to study two topics that must be resolved in order to properly understand the history of the urban shehuo(社火). The first was what was the precedent for association organizations such as she(社) or hui(會) that have carried out activities of urban shehuo(社火) since Song dynasty? As a result, precedents could be found among various forms of Buddhist association organizations that went from Sui(隋) dynasty to early Song(宋) dynasty. In particular, it is estimated that such as the association to light lanterns or the association to march with Buddha statues provided a direct historical experience in the activities of lighting lanterns on the Aoshan or street parades during later urban shehuo(社火). The second was to find out what was the first and complete case among the various visual materials depicting the shehuo(社火) activities since Nansong(南宋) dynasty, and as a result, I could find out hat the painting of Nandufanhui(南都繁 會) was the first and complete case among the materials depicting urban shehuo(社火) activities. The results of this paper remind us once again that the development of the history of the urban shehuo(社火) has progressed more complicated than expected, harmonizing with the native tradition, foreign factors, and the mutual influence of the private sector and the court.
