This dissertation studies about the sustainable tourism that is based on the sustainable development concept considering the value of environment. Comparing to other industries, that of tourism depends more upon the natural and cultural resources because these are essential to formulate the basics of tourism industry. Nevertheless, the excessive development of mass tourism damaged environmental resources and eventually the tourism industry should find the new direction requiring the model which is caring for them in the criteria of sustainable tourism. Green tourism can be one good example for the sustainable tourism, and should be also an form of oriented tourism industry in Italy. This is corresponded with the concept of sustainable tourism and could be a leading model.
Abstract
